Simply Yoga & Rainbow Warriors Kenridge
My journey and motivation started when I was a student and I was encouraged by my own teacher. My passion for creating a place where people could be themselves and enjoy the art of yoga has been on the horizon for many years. I started teaching Hatha Style Yoga classes to adults and used the time to help them focus on themselves in a beautiful and tranquil yoga studio. I wanted to go further and offer my talent as a certified Hatha Yoga teacher not just to adults but also refine my teachings for kids. I took my love that I have for children and used it to create a fun, creative, social and interactive learning opportunity through yoga. This was the start of Rainbow Warriors Kids Yoga.
Rainbow Warriors Kids Yoga gives kids and teenagers the chance to learn through yoga and art providing the opportunity to connect with one another in a playful and nurturing space. We provide a safe, serene and welcoming space where parents children or teenagers can explore and develop their own yoga journey and personal transformation.
In our classes, we love to combine creative educational sequencing and a spirit of playfulness with an art element. We dedicate one art-based class per term, but may include an extra art element to the class as necessary. This will allow kids and teenagers to further express and inspire their young minds. We tailor these classes to a theme that runs alongside the school classes. We welcome and encourage teacher interaction and collaboration. This enables us to cater to the needs of the kids and teenagers and keep continuity.
It is wonderful to see kids shine in class and see how they blossom from yoga focused classes. We seek to help others thrive in life by nurturing body, mind and spirit with yoga. At the end of a class, the kids and teenagers will step off the mat feeling balanced, nourished and refreshed. We work together to promote peace in our world, our communities and our families, through first creating peace within ourselves.
As a teacher I live my everyday life learning and bettering myself so that I can promote a place of learning that is forever evolving and changing our lives. It is possible to make this world a better place, one yoga class at a time.
